Danube River by Regensburg, Germany

It seems that the sky is so cloudy in my image here. The river that you see in the photo below is called Danube, also known as Donau in German. It is considered to be the longest river that flows the European Union countries and the second longest in the whole of Europe next to Volga. Danube River also flows in many of Germany's cities and towns. Some of which include Regensburg, Passau, Kelheim, Donauwörth, Deggendorf , Neuburg an der Donau, Ehingen, Tuttlingen, Munderkingen, Straubing and some other more.

The image I took below is the Danube river that flows in Regensburg, a city in Bavaria, Germany. You can also see the towers of the famous landmark of Regensburg which is the Cathedral of St. Peter. The historical bridge on the right side of the image is considered to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Meeting A Fellow in Regensburg

Good day everyone! I am here again for some updates. I was not feeling good this morning because I had a migraine attack again. Thanks goodness, I am feeling better now. I believed the sudden change of weather in our place is the main cause. Back to my main topic; We visited Regensburg, a World Heritage city in Bavaria, Germany last week. As we were on the tourist information center of the said city, we happened to meet a fellowman. He said that he is not engaged in a healthcare job here in Germany but he is a scholar of a certain institution. To my surprised, he talked a lot about himself including his job in the Philippines and the travel he always made during in the neighboring countries of Germany. I ended up talking to him the recent Europe tour that me and my friend did for almost three weeks this month. He was amazed how we visited a lot of cities and countries in Europe for that span of time. More images to come from our Europe tour next time.

Old Main Bridge in Wuerzburg, Bavaria, Germany

Let's go travel and visit Europe again. This time I am showing you a historical architecture in Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany. The Alte Mainbrücke or Würzburg's Old Main Bridge was built 1473–1543 to replace the destroyed Romanesque bridge from 1133. It was adorned from 1730 on in two phases with well-known statues of saints and famous persons.

I had the chance to visit this city with a friend for the second time last week. Here is an image of the Old Main Bridge which I took personally.

Europe Summer Adventure is Over

Europe summer adventure is finally over. I mentioned in my previous post that I am slowly back to the blogosphere. Yes, I am but I am still not in full power. It seems that I am still having a jet lag after an almost three weeks adventure in Europe. Me and my friend did had a great time exploring different interesting cities in Europe. As usual, part of traveling is also shopping. I bought some travel souvenirs like postcards, magnet, shot glass, key chain and a lot more to be added to my travel collections. I guess I also need a scanner software soon so that I can slowly scan all the postcards that I bought. I wish to make another site for all the postcards and souvenirs that I have from my travel. My friend who is my companion during my Europe adventure had surely arrived safely now backed to the United States. I believed she also had a wonderful and memorable vacation here in Europe. More travel updates to come soon!

The Colosseum in Rome, Italy

Hello folks! I am slowly back in the blogosphere. The German-Pinay blogger is finally done with her Europe tour. It was quite a tiring but very amazing and interesting adventure. To start my post, I am sharing an image of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. The Colosseo as it is called in Italian language, is an elliptical amphitheatre in the center of the city of Rome, Italy. It is considered to be the largest ever built in the Roman Empire and considered to be one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. It is located east of the Roman Forum.

I just want to remind you that I am not a professional photographer. I just love to take pictures of anything that catches my camera especially the interesting places I had been too. Here is an image of the Colosseum or Colosseo taken during our four-day adventure from August 11-14, 2010. More images to come next time.

The Colosseum or, The Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre. Its construction started between 70 and 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus, with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign (81–96).

Shopping in Neumarkt, Germany

It's summer sale in Germany! I have been shopping since last week. Last Monday, we also went to Neumarkt with my friend from the U.S. and had fun shopping there. She want to buy polo boots but she said that the prices are still quite expensive for her. This is because she had been comparing dollar to euro currency. She bought some blouses that fits her and her mom and some other travel souvenirs and presents for her friends. Here is an image of the old city of Neumarkt in Bavaria, Germany
