The Louvre Museum in Paris, France

The Pyramide du Louvre, as it is called in French language, commonly known as the Louvre pyramid is a large glass and metal pyramid in the main courtyard of the Louvre Palace. It is also surrounded by three smaller pyramids. This structure has become one of the famous iconic symbol of the city of Paris.

The Louvre pyramid was said to be featured in the 2006 film, The Da Vinci Code.
These are images I took during my first visit in Paris last 2009. I was there again last summer 2010.

The downward-pointing or the inverted pyramid, called in French as La Pyramide Inversée. It functions as a skylight in an underground mall in front of the museum.

The Statues and Sculptures Inside Louvre Museum in Paris, France

I had been to Paris in France twice already. During my first visit in March 2009, I had the chance to go inside the Louvre Museum and saw some of its collections like the historical statues and sculptures.

Musée du Louvre, as it is called in French, officially named The Grand Louvre or simply the Louvre is considered to be one of the biggest museums in the world. It is also th most visited art museums in the world. It is housed in Louvre Palace built by Philip II during the 12th century. It contained hundreds of thousands of collections from the Medievel to Rennaisance and Modern eras.

I felt very lucky when I was able to go inside and saw some of its collections. A day inside the museum is not enough to see everything. Here are some of the images I took during my first visit last March 2009.

Visit to The Louvre Museum in Paris, France

We are visit again Paris this time. I am showing a picture taken inside Louvre Museum. The Musée du Louvre, also officially called as the Grand Louvre or Great Louvre or simply Louvre Museum is considered to be one of the most largest museum in the world. I believed I am very lucky to visit and see inside of it. It was a dream come true. I thought I can only see it in photographs or movies or even postcards but I was there myself taking pictures. A day or two of visit inside Louvre is not enough if you really want to see everything. I wish I can stay in Paris for a month.

I also want to share a bit travel tip for today. Don't forget to bring with you some medicines when you are traveling. I always have with me my migraine tablet, LBM medicines, my cameras, travel documents like passport and some other more. Off topic also, anyone need eczema treatment out there? You can browse it online or consult your dermatologist.

Lastly, I would like to let you know that Louvre is also one of the world's most visited museum. It is also considered as a historic monument. It is a central landmark of Paris, France and is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement (district). Nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 19th century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres (652,300 square feet). I guess that is all for now. Feel free to browse my categories here for more images from Paris.
