The Würzburg Residence

So far, this is one of the most beautiful palaces I visited in Germany. The Residence in Wüzburg is truly a work of art. I have been there for a lot of times but it was only during my recent visit last  July 2, 2012 when I had the chance to go inside the palace. Sad to say, taking photographs  is not allowed inside the building.

Interiors include the grand staircase, the chapel, and the grand salon. The building was dubbed the "nicest parsonage in Europe" by Napoleon. It was heavily damaged during World War II, and restoration has been in progress since 1945.

I was actually touring  relatives of  friends who came to visit Europe for some days.  One of the cities I showed them was Würzburg. It was so far a  wonderful time I had with them.

Here are some of  the snaphots I took during our recent visit last week.

Winter Visit to Neuschwanstein Castle in Hohenschwangau, Bavaria

The Neuschwanstein Castle is the famous castle commissioned by King Ludiwg II, king of Bavaria, Germany in 1868. More than a million of tourists and visitors from all over the world visit the castle every year.

The Schloss Neuschwanstein, as it is called in German, is located on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. It was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The palace was intended as a personal refuge for the reclusive king, but it was opened to the paying public immediately after his death in 1886.

My Euro Travel to the Royal Palace of Brussels in Belgium

I am reminiscing again my travel to Brussels, the capital city of Belgium. One of the sights we visited was the Royal Palace of Brussels. It is located in front of Brussels Park which I also remembered that we took some time here to sit down and take a short break after some sightseeings we made in Brussels.

We were at Brussels park when I took this image. The Royal Palace of Brussels is just accross the Brussels Park. This was taken during our visit last August 2010.
