Some Travel Tips for Today

Before the month of June is coming, I would like to share some travel tips which I had experienced along my travel anywhere in the world especially in Europe. Here they are;

*Never ever forget to bring your travel documents such as passport, plane ticket, valid ID Card, travel insurance and other important travel documents that you may need.
*Always bring you some medicine especially if you have problem with motion sickness or maybe pain reliever. I always bring with me some.
*This especially for women who need their beauty case. You might want to bring with you your make-up kit, sunblock, testosterone cream, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush and other personal things that you might need.
*This is my favorite of all. If you love to take some memories of your travel, don't forget to bring your camera with you and also don't forget to bring extra batteries just in case.

I guess that is all what I can share tonight. I wish everyone a great month of June!

Party in Ramstein-Miesenbach

We finally had the chance to visit our friends who live in Ramstein-Miesenbach in the state of Rhineland Palatinate in Germany. It's been more than a year since we did not visit them. We also want to see our friend who is pregnant now. I am so happy for her after all it is truly a great blessing. Here are the foods prepared during the birthday party of our friend. I believed we need good fat burners after eating a lot of food like the one you see in the picture here. We are also happy that we had the chance to mingle with other people and friends we met during the party. That was truly a memorable day especially for the birthday celebrant. Thanks a lot to our good friends for everything!

Goliath-Haus in Regensburg, Germany

I can't find a lot of information about Goliath-Haus. I will just give my own description about it. David against Goliath is a painting found in the Altstadt or Old City of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. According to the shield below, it was built around in the middle of 13 century and was under the possession of Thundorfer Family. Here are some images I took during our visit last month.

The Market in Birmingham, England

When I had time, I want to go inside the market in Birmingham, England. Sad to day, we were always in a hurry that we don't have enough time go a bit shopping here. My friend told me that you can find here cheap and fresh fruits and vegetables. I would love to always eat these stuffs in order for me not to take a look at apidexin reviews. I even don't know what fruits were the ones in yellow colors here? I was imagining these were mangoes. I love these tropical fruits from my home country. Anyway, this image was taken last November 2008 during my visit in England.

Eurovision Song Contest 2010

First of all, I would like to greet Lena Meyer-Landrut for winning this prestigious song contest held in Oslo, Norway last May 29, 2010, the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Congratulations also to all German people for finally winning it again after 28 years. Below are some information about this event.

"The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the 55th annual Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast from the Telenor Arena in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo, Norway. It was the third time Norway has hosted the contest, having previously done so in 1986 and 1996. The 2010 winner was Germany with Lena singing "Satellite" written by American Julie Frost and Dane John Gordon. Second place went to Turkey, third to Romania, fourth to Denmark, and fifth to Azerbaijan.

The semi-finals took place on 25 and 27 May 2010 and the final took place on 29 May 2010. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that the voting system used in the semi-finals would change from previous years to balance jury voting with televoting. A return of accompaniment by orchestra was also proposed but did not happen.

Thirty-nine countries had taken part in the contest, with Georgia returning to the contest and Andorra, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Montenegro withdrawing. Lithuania originally announced its withdrawal from the competition, but was later among the 39 participants confirmed by the EBU. A recent global financial crisis affected how the event was run. NRK sold its rights to 2010 FIFA World Cup to a rival broadcaster to finance its hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. With 246 points, Germany was named the winner of the contest. It was their second win after 28 years and the first time since 1997 that a Big 4 country won the contest." read more here

Out of Town

I am still not done packing my stuffs and hubby will be coming home in some minutes. We will be out of town this weekend to visit a friend who is celebrating his birthday. It means that I cannot give you some updates until I come back from our weekend trip. I still want to search for Robern Medicine cabinet but it seems that I don't have enough time now. I'll see you again next week folks! For sure, I will be sharing some pictures for when I come back. Have a great and wonderful weekend to all! I will reciprocate the visit of my blogger friends when I come back. Bye for now guys! Hubby is here now! I have to get ready for the trip.

The Intercity Express or ICE train in Germany

Have you already seen one of the fastest train in Germany? I have here a photograph of the famous and one of the fastest train in Germany. It is called the ICE or Intercity Express. It is the highest service category offered by DB Fernverkehr and is the flagship of Deutsche Bahn. This train runs from Germany and other European countries like Austria, Denmark, France and Switzerland. Traveling by train is considered to be one of the common and convenient transportation in Germany.

Europe Adventure is Coming Soon!

Did you just read the title of this post? Yes, it is true again! Europe adventure is coming soon! A friend of mine from the United States will be coming to visit me in Europe and we will have some tours here. To be honest guys until now, we are still searching for the cheapest flights online to different cities in Europe. We are planning to visit some cities here this coming summer season. We are also trying to find a cheap flight to London. When we can find a cheap one, I might visit London again for the third time with my friend. I already made a tentative itinerary for our three weeks adventure but it is still not final.

We are also trying to find a good Paris travel guide. Thanks to Travel Grove for the very informative guide to Paris. In fact, we are still looking for a hotel in this city. I had been to Paris last year but it was a bus trip and we had a tour guide that time which made us very easy to go around for sightseeing. This time, only me and my friend will be having an adventure there. I find it quite difficult because I know how crowded Paris can be sometimes. With the help of Travel Grove's guide to Paris, I believed it is quite easy to go around Paris. I was also browsing for cheap flights from Nuremberg, Germany to Paris, France and I found cheap flights from this site compared to some other sites I visited before. I also found the site very easy to navigate. Last week, as I was browsing a German site, I got mad because the navigation of the site is very poor. In fact when you enter a certain flight inquiry, they will not redirect you for a concrete flight but you will be coming back to the same window for searching. I want to tell my friend to also take a look at Travelglobe.com site.

I am also sharing a picture of me in this post. This was taken in Arch of Triumph in Paris, France. I love Paris and can't wait to go back there again. Lastly if you are trying to find cheap flights, travel guides and anything you need to spend a great vacation, I would also recommend Travel Grove to you. Have a safe and happy trip!

Victoria's Monument in Victoria Square, Birmingham, England

Good morning folks! Let's go travel in Europe again! I am finally back here to share some updates. How would like seeing the monument of Queen Victoria in Victoria Square, Birmingham, England? I got here a picture showing the monument of Queen Victoria. The monument was originally built by Thomas Brock in 1901 and was made of marble. In 1951, William Bloye recasted it to bronze. You can also see the City Hall of Birmingham in the background of the photo.

I took this picture personally during my trip to England last 2008.

Victoria Square is a pedestrianised public square in Birmingham, England. It is home to both the Town Hall and the Council House, and directly adjacent to Chamberlain Square.

The square is often considered to be the centre of Birmingham, and is the point from where local road sign distances are measured. It is a short walk from St. Philip's Cathedral on Colmore Row and is on the main pedestrian route between the Bull Ring and Brindleyplace areas. Three major roads, Colmore Row, New Street and Paradise Street meet there. wikipedia

The Sign in Birmingham, England

This is a sign I saw during our long walk around Birmingham, England last 2008. Signs usually help us find and determine the direction of a certain place. Signs can also give us warnings of anything especially road signs. I can remember walking around Birmingham with a friend even during those rainy weather. I thought I can lose weight fast if I will keep on walking and walking during my trips and adventure but I guess sometimes it is just not working. You know why? because after a long walk and I get hungry, I start to eat a lot again. What a bad habit of me. Feel free to click the image I took during my visit in Birmingham so that you can see exactly the direction of this sign. Goodnight peeps!

Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany

Let's go travel Europe again! This time we are visiting Germany's famous celebration! Don't you know that Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany is the world's biggest fair? Yes, it is! It is also considered as one of the famous events in Germany and considered to be a part of the Bavarian Culture. I remember that we also have an Oktoberfest at the town where I grew -up in the Philippines. It is also modeled after Munich's Oktoberfest. Millions of visitors from all over the world come to Munich to take part and witness the said celebration.

Oktoberfest is a two-week festival or a 16 day festival to be exact and is held every year during the last week of September until first week of October. I had been to this festival twice already. Below are some of the photographs I took last 2008. The festival is held on an area named the Theresienwiese (field, or meadow, of Therese), often called d’ Wiesn for short.
the rides at the Oktoberfest in Munich

it seems that rain is coming here! yes, it did rained during our visit last September 2008.

"The original "Oktoberfest" occurred in Munich, on October 18, 1810: For the commemoration of their marriage, Crown Prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen (namesake of the Theresienwiese festival grounds) organized a great horse race (the marriage took place on October 12; the horse race on October 17—therefore, there are different dates named as being the first Oktoberfest)."wikipedia

Somewhere in Vienna, Austria

I totally forget now where this picture was taken in Vienna, Austria. Did you see me in the picture? I only remembered that we were going to the Volksgarten in Vienna and happened to pass in this building. Me and my friend had an adventure in this capital city of Austria last June 2007. It was truly a great experience. I guess that is all for now. I can't stay too long tonight because we will be waking up early tomorrow to attend the burial of hubby's relative. I also need to browse online about clinicallix. I wish you all a great evening especially to all my friends in Europe. Feel free to browse my categories for more images from our adventure in Vienna, Austria. More updates tomorrow when we come back from the burial.

Reclining Woman by Henry Moore in Leeds, England

The monument below was created by the famous English Sculptor named Henry Moore. I even made another picture from the description of this monument so that I won't forget it. I need the help of the experts from wikipedia to know more about Henry Moore. Below is the Reclining Woman made of Bronze given by The Henry Moore Foundation.
Henry Spencer Moore OM CH FBA (30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986) was an English sculptor and artist. He was best known for his abstract monumental bronze sculptures which are located around the world as public works of art.

His forms are usually abstractions of the human figure, typically depicting mother-and-child or reclining figures. Moore's works are usually suggestive of the female body, apart from a phase in the 1950s when he sculpted family groups. His forms are generally pierced or contain hollow spaces. Many interpreters liken the undulating form of his reclining figures to the landscape and hills of his birthplace, Yorkshire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Moore

these photos were taken during my visit in Leeds last November 2008.

Visit to Birmingham, England

I believed that the date stamped in my picture here is very visible to your eyes. This was the exact time and date when I visited Birmingham, England. I am very thankful that I don't have anymore an acne problem during my visit here. Thanks goodness to the power of medicine and acne cream that helped me got rid of it. This picture was taken in between the City Hall and the Council House of Birmingham. if I am not mistaken this is the so-called Victoria square also. That building in the background with the clock is the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. We don't had the chance to go inside this museum because we don't have enough time. At least I see how Birmingham looks like. Thanks to my friend Loloy for the accommodation and tour in Birmingham and other cities in England. It is truly appreciated.

Nuremberg Castle in Bavaria, Germany

Nürnberger Burg or the Nuremberg castle is considered to be one of the main sights in Nuremberg, a city in Bavaria, Germany. This castle comprises three parts: the Emperor's buildings ("Kaiserburg"), the mostly built buildings of the rulers of Nuremberg ("Burggrafenburg"), and the buildings on the eastern side ("städtische Burganlage"). This castle is full of history. We already visited it twice. The last time we visited it was last month, April 2010. Even I see this castle for some time, I still wish to visit it once again in the future.

Weekend Sightseeing in Freystadt, Germany

I love the scenery here in Freystadt. It is a small town but a very nice one. The weather was perfect during our visit last weekend. I am not sure now if I already posted some images in my other blog about Germany. I even don't have an idea now what is Gulf Coast Jones Act. I thought it is a place for sightseeing but as I read it online, it is actually not. Freystadt is a town in the district of Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. You can see the colorful, old but historical buildings here which is one of the things I love in Germany. You can also see the gate tower rising up on the sky. What a lovely scene indeed from this town.

My Euro Travel in Freystadt in Upper Palatinate, Germany

I already started writing this post last night but was not able to finish it. I was just so tired and sleepy already. Here is a quick information about Freystadt. It is a town located in the district of Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. It is well-known for its beautiful Pilgrimage Church named Our Lady of Perpetual Help or simply called Wallfarhtskirche Mariahilf in German. You can visit my Explore Germany site for some pictures of this church. The picture I have below is the Altstadt or Old City of Freystadt. You can see the Rathaus or Town Hall, a gray colored building on the left side, the Church's tower and some shops in this topwn. That was a perfect weather yesterday as we made a sightseeing here.

Island Paradise Vacation

I believed most part of Europe now are still having a cold and rainy weather. It's been raining in our place for three weeks now which make the weather cold and wet. Normally at this time of the year, I can already wear a t'shirt because the sunshine is here but now our heater is still on because of this cold weather. How I wish I am on vacation right now at Great Barrier Reef Resort and enjoying the sunshine at the beach. Are you familiar with Orpheus Island National Park in Queensland, Australia? I am thankful to the power of internet and computers where we can see images of this island paradise. You can experience a luxurious Great Barrier Reef Accommodation if you happen to stay at the exclusive hotel of this island. How would like to enjoy swimming or surfing at the beautiful beaches here? You might also want to experience a sunset cruise, scuba diving, seaplane charters, canoeing or simply go wishing. If not, you might want to go with the guided tours around the National Park and see the beauty of the island. Seeing the beautiful sunset here is also a spectacular experience!

Being voted among the "Top 10 Luxury Holidays", Great Barrier Reef Hotels will surely give you the pleasure of having a luxurious vacation in the island. I can't imagine sipping a glass of wine while looking at the sunset in this beautiful island. I wish to visit this place in the future. Probably when I win the lottery. For now, I am just sharing my little island paradise in my home country.

Postcard from London, England

I am thinking to share this postcard today. This is one of the postcards I bought in London during my visit last 2008. You can see in this postcard the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, River Thames, London Tower and I guess St. Paul Cathedral. It was a great experience visiting one of the most interesting city in Europe! right folks?

Is There Really a Thing Called Travel for Free?

Is there really a thing called "travel for free"? I visited a site before wherein the author mentioned that at this time there is no such thing called travel for free. I guess I have to deviate with what the author had shared about traveling for free. There are so-called teens volunteer summer programs that are sometimes offering free travel and accommodation. I met last year a friend online who went to Germany and her plane ticket and accommodation were shouldered by her sponsor. She had to stay in this country for three months to help built a museum somewhere in Bavaria, Germany. In return for her free travel, she has to work help build that museum. She told me that during their free weekend, they visited other cities in Germany and the neighboring countries. She even visited her Aunt in Italy that time.

You can also travel for free when you probably win a promotion entitled you for a free vacation. You can also travel for free when a member of your family shoulders your travel expenses. right folks? Just last week, I also visited a site called Vision Service Adventures who provides teen summer program locations. Their site offers international summer program where you can visit other countries for adventure, sightseeing, learning languages, knowing people and their culture or simply have fun. They have interesting program locations such as Alaska, Vietnam, Dominica, Peru, Ecuador and a lot more. This site is quite interesting. I want to browse more in its site later.

If you also notice that I have been to different parts of the globe already. I would say that I sometimes travel for free or partly free. I guess I will reveal my secret soon. Watch it out in the near future! I am also sharing a picture of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy. I have been to this city twice already.

St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, Czech Republic

Let's go travel Europe again! I am done sharing some places from Germany, Paris, London, Austria and etcetera. I guess this time, let's go to Prague again. I shared some images from Prague, Czech Republic in my previous entries here. I am sharing today about St, Vitus Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral in Prague, and the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. We had a visit in this capital city of Czech Republic last September 2008. This Cathedral is located within Prague Castle. It is a Gothic architecture and considered to be the biggest and most important church in this country.

I am not so sure if we will be visiting this church again this coming summer. We will see and of course I will share about it here. Here is the south view of St. Vitus Cathedral taken during our visit last 2008. Feel free to click the image for a bigger view.
St. Vitus, The Gothic Cathedral

The present day Gothic Cathedral was founded on 21st of November, 1344, when the Prague bishopric was raised to an archbishopric. Its patrons were the chapter of cathedral (led by a Dean), the Archbishop Arnost of Pardubice, and, above all, Charles IV, King of Bohemia and a soon-to-be Holy Roman Emperor, who intended the new cathedral to be a coronation church, family crypt, treasury for the most precious relics of the kingdom, and the last resting place cum pilgrimage site of patron saint Wenceslaus. The first master builder was a Frenchman Matthias of Arras, summoned from the papal palace in Avignon. Matthias designed the overall layout of the building as, basically, an import of French Gothic: a triple-naved basilica with flying buttresses, short transept, five-bayed choir and decagon apse with ambulatory and radiating chapels. However, he lived to build only the easternmost parts of the choir: the arcades and the ambulatory. The slender verticality of Late French Gothic and clear, almost rigid respect of proportions distinguish his work today. wikipedia

The Castle Ruins in Kallmünz, Bavaria

I guess this is the continuation of my precious post. I decided to share more pictures from Kallmünz. You can see Schlossberg towers in my first picture here. It is said that it is about 110 meters over the municipality of Kallmuenz. These pictures were taken by my new Nokia cellphone with camera using micro sd card. This is the first time that I use my cf camera here. I guess the pictures are not so bad. The second picture was taken as we were on our way to the castle. We always stopped in between the trail to take pictures of the surroundings. Here you can see the tower of the St. Michael Church which I believed to be the tallest building in this place. You can also see the red building which is the Municipal Hall and the Naab River from afar can also be seen. More pictures to come next time. pictures taken during our visit last May 9, 2010.

My Euro Travel in Kallmuenz, Bavaria, Germany

It is time to travel again! This time we are visiting Germany. I am just sharing these two pictures I took during our visit in Kallmuenz, written in German word as Kallmünz. I have some things to share about this place. Kallmünz is a municipality in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. Situated at the Naab River about 25 km north of Regensburg Kallmünz has conserved a beautiful medieval center. More pictures and information on Kallmünz in my Explore Germany site. Anyway, we visited this place again last Sunday.
the roofless house in Kallmuenz. It is said that this place is a cave before and was built as a roofless house. Of course nobody live in this house. Some tourist find this very interesting and they always stop and look on this building.
That red building is the municipal hall of Kallmuenz. The small yellow building in front is a memorial from the second World War. You can see names of the soldiers that are engraved in this building.

Here are the beautiful flowers to all great Mothers around the world!

Visit to The Louvre Museum in Paris, France

We are visit again Paris this time. I am showing a picture taken inside Louvre Museum. The Musée du Louvre, also officially called as the Grand Louvre or Great Louvre or simply Louvre Museum is considered to be one of the most largest museum in the world. I believed I am very lucky to visit and see inside of it. It was a dream come true. I thought I can only see it in photographs or movies or even postcards but I was there myself taking pictures. A day or two of visit inside Louvre is not enough if you really want to see everything. I wish I can stay in Paris for a month.

I also want to share a bit travel tip for today. Don't forget to bring with you some medicines when you are traveling. I always have with me my migraine tablet, LBM medicines, my cameras, travel documents like passport and some other more. Off topic also, anyone need eczema treatment out there? You can browse it online or consult your dermatologist.

Lastly, I would like to let you know that Louvre is also one of the world's most visited museum. It is also considered as a historic monument. It is a central landmark of Paris, France and is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement (district). Nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 19th century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres (652,300 square feet). I guess that is all for now. Feel free to browse my categories here for more images from Paris.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France

I can't wait to visit again Paris this coming summer. This time I want to go up in Eiffel Tower to see and have a good view of the whole city of Paris. The last time we visited it was in March 2009. This time, I will be with a friend from the U.S. . This will be her first time to visit Europe and I believed that she is quite excited with it. Here is my photo taken from last year. Feel free to read more below about this great architecture in Paris.

The Eiffel Tower (French: Tour Eiffel, [tuʁ ɛfɛl]) is a 19th century iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower, which is the tallest building in Paris, is the single most visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch for the 1889 World's Fair.

The tower stands 324 m (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. It was the tallest man-made structure in the world from its completion until 1930, when it was eclipsed by the Chrysler Building in New York City. Not including broadcast antennas, it is the second-tallest structure in France, behind the Millau Viaduct, completed in 2004.

The tower has three levels for visitors. Tickets can be purchased to ascend either on stair or lift to the first and second levels. The walk to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by lift. Both the first and second levels feature restaurants.

The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city. wikipedia

Somewhere in Salzburg, Austria

I just select randomly the picture from Salzburg, Austria. This was taken during our visit last June 2007. I visited Salzburg twice already. The second one was last November 2008. If I have the chance I would like to visit it again next time. I don't expect to find here apidexin but for sure I was able to see the Castle in Salzburg and some other sights here. I believed this picture was taken near the Church in Salzburg because during our visit last 2007, it was still under repair. That is the reason why you see fences around the Church. Feel free to browse my category here to find more images from Salzburg.

The Sun Temple in Eremitage Castle in Bayreuth, Germany

Eremitage Castle is one of the interesting sights you can see when visiting Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany. It is consists of the Neues Schloss, the New Castle and the Altes Schloss, the Old Castle. The one you see in the picture below is the New Castle with the Sonnentempel or the Sun Temple. Here is a photo taken by hubby during our visit. Find me here!

Shopping in London, England

Let's go travel and go shopping again! This time I will share some pictures taking at London in England. I am trying to remember this famous shopping store in London where the two memorials for Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed are also found. I googled it and found its name. These pictures were taken in Harrods. Don't you know that Harrods is the worlds most famous luxury department Store, owned by Egyptian Billionaire, Al Fayed Mohamed? Yes, it is! We only went here for window shopping. I am trying to remember what did I bought here because I can't remember it right now. I am also trying to find my shopping receipts but also can't find one from this shop. I am not sure now if I found a receipt printer on sale at Harrods. I also want one of those Teddy bears at Harrods but I forgot to buy it because I am excited to see the two memorials of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed. I will try to search more images in my picture files especially the two memorials of Princess Diana and Dodi. Have fun watching the pictures here.
